Communities That CARE Project
April is Autism Awareness Month and we are starting a project called Communities That CARE, an autism awareness project.
This project aims to increase awareness in communities.
The work is never done until persons with autism are understood, accepted as fellow members of society like everyone else and appreciated for their strengths which many of them have.
Oftentimes, relatives, neighbors and other community members are not well-informed about autism and this may lead to a lot of misconceptions, prejudices and even lack of harmony in the community.
Hence, the acronym CARE shall stand for Community Awareness Resource.
If you would like to help create more compassionate communities, join us as a volunteer as we engage the community towards becoming more aware of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Together let us spread autism awareness, understanding and compassion in our own communities.
