The Department of Health Region IV-A conducted a health and wellness activity for their deployed health workers as part of the National Health Workforce Support System (NHWSS) in September 2025.

Mindful Parenting and Mindful Teaching Strategies
It was a great honor and privilege to participate in the 2025 Children's Summit entitled Present and Purposeful: Parenting and Teaching in a Changing World organized by The Medical City Institute of Pediatrics and Center for Developmental Pediatrics.
Elizabeth Montenegro-Rye was one of the speakers covering the topics of Mindful Parenting and Mindful Teaching. The event was an opportunity to share how yogic mindfulness can provide stability, resilience and clarity in an ever-changing environment.
It is our hope that the timeless wisdom of yoga will continue to serve more individuals and sectors leading to more fulfilling and blissful lives.

The Philippine Coast Guard Medical Service hosted a Gender and Development Symposium from June 5-6, 2025 in Talisay, Batangas. The event included a Wellness Seminar where yoga was presented as a system for lifestyle management and stress management. After a discussion on yoga theory, the participants experienced a yoga practice session led by Teacher Elizabeth Montenegro-Rye. |

Yoga for Healing - Autism Society Philippines PWEDay
In March 2025, we were able to serve up another dose of yoga to participants of ASP PWEDay.
The title of the session was Yoga for Healing. Relaxation provides the environment for our body's natural intelligence to heal itself and so we hope that we have done just that.

Classical Yoga Training with Department of Health (DoH) CALABARZON 2024
As part of the efforts of the Health Department (DoH) to integrate Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) into the Philippine healthcare system, a training program was conducted on the ancient mind-body systems yoga, tai chi and qi gong.
Teacher Elizabeth shared the philosophy as well as the various techniques of classical yoga with highly enthusiastic representatives from DoH Calabarzon which included medical doctors, TCAM practitioners and mental health coordinators.
It is our aspiration that yoga and ayurveda will become a part of the Philippine healthcare system in the near future.

The value of self-care cannot be overstated and in this respect, classical yoga is a comprehensive self-care tool to manage stress.
We need parents, doctors, therapists and teachers to be well at all times because so many individuals rely on them.

Yoga for Strength and Inner Harmony, a 3-session workshop, was conducted with members of Autism Society Philippines in August/ September 2023 as part of the ASP PweDay offerings. The goal of the workshop was to provide ample opportunities for participants to master yogic techniques that they can implement even outside of a yoga session. |

We concluded four (4) sessions of Yoga for Self-care last Saturday, 23rd January 2021 conducted by Elizabeth Montenegro-Rye, Yoga Teacher, Founder of Perfect Soul Center and Yoga Professional Member, Indian Yoga Association.
The participants were introduced to yogic concepts and techniques aimed at promoting self-awareness and self-care.
We hope that the sessions provided the participants with useful tools to help manage our day-to-day lives during this pandemic and enough inspiration to continue their yogic journey.

Yoga for Relaxation and Well-being
During the quarantine period, Perfect Soul Center was able to share yoga with Autism Society Philippines (ASP) members and families through online sessions aired via Facebook as part of ASP PWeday Classes. During this extraordinary time when a great percentage of the world’s population is experiencing cabin fever due to the Covid-19 pandemic, relaxation strategies play a vital role in maintaining our mental health and wellbeing.
It is our prayer that, in spite of the challenges, we can all continue to keep calm and carry on.

Special Education Talks
On December 14, 2019, Teacher JP, OTRP and MA SpEd candidate, conducted Special Education talks on the topics:
a) Behavior Management in Children with Autism and Communication Challenges, and
b) Behavior Management in Children with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder
The event was participated in by teachers, parents and siblings of individuals with special needs. The participants were extremely grateful for the knowledge they gained and are already looking forward to the next topic!

Art Therapy Session at Guanella Center
We visited the residents of Guanella Home in Quezon City on February 2, 2019 for an afternoon of music and art.
Everybody had immense fun expressing themselves through art. We were even treated to some beautiful music thanks to Teacher Jeff and his violin.
With joy in our hearts, we bid farewell to our new friends at Guanella Center.
We will be back soon, for sure! :-)
Guanella Home is a shelter for individuals with disabilities from disadvantaged families.
