Here’s hoping that the New Year has started off well for you. These are the things that we've been busy with so far. YOGA FOR SELF-CARE Before the year ended, we had our Yoga for Self-care (session 1) with a small but good mix of participants. The next three (3) sessions are happening on January 9, 16, 23 at 7:00 pm Philippine Time. You may still register even if you missed the first session. Isn’t it an awesome idea to start the year with yoga? YOGA FOR SELF-CARE is a 4-part program meant to introduce participants to the traditional practice of yoga. If they would like to go deeper into the eight (8) aspects of yoga practice, then this is a good place to start. The next run of the Yoga for Self-care program will be towards the middle of the year. PERFECT SOUL CENTER WEBSITE Our new website has a SELF-CARE page that you can check out. If your child is in need of a teacher, you may also explore our FIND A TEACHER page. We will soon be sharing Ayurvedic concepts, tips and recipes with you! Let us look forward to this year with a renewed sense of awareness. May this New Year be filled with only pleasant surprises! Below, I share with you a quote from Swami Satchidanandaji. “We are not going to change the whole world, but we can change ourselves and feel free as birds. We can be serene even in the midst of calamities and, by our serenity, make others more tranquil. Serenity is contagious. If we smile at someone, he or she will smile back. And a smile costs nothing. We should plague everyone with joy. If we are to die in a minute, why not die happily, laughing? (136-137)” ― Sri S. Satchidananda, The Yoga Sutras

Happy Holidays! The Covid-19 pandemic has thrust us in a peculiar situation, compelling many of us to dig deep to find resilience and trust in a Higher Power. As the Christmas season rolls around to remind us of the great blessings that still abound in spite of the challenges, we discover that happiness can be found in the simplest of things: It is in waking up healthy in the morning, breathing in fresh air, hearing the chirping of the birds, enjoying a simple homecooked meal and being surrounded by loved ones. In truth, happiness resides within us. We need only to be reminded that it does exist inside of us. Dark clouds can obscure the sun, but the sun does not stop shining. ----- A free LIVE WEBINAR entitled YOGA FOR SELF-CARE: AN INTRODUCTION will be conducted by Elizabeth Montenegro-Rye (Teacher Beth) on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm PST (Philippine Standard Time).
